Trev and i opened the new season yesterday evening with a hard fought 0 v 0 draw between my new Orc team and Trev's Zons. We're going to keep it very loose, no time-table etc Only rules, such as they are, are: - Starting 1M teams (all official Living RB 5 teams plus Chaos Pact, Underworld & Slann)
- You may have more than one team in the league but obviously your teams cannot play each other
- Each team may only play another opponent's team no more than twice
- Maximum games a team may play is 7
If we get a number of teams having played 7 matches, eventually, we may think about a Semi-final/Final at some point but this is very much a "dip in & out" kind of thing. If you can record your scores on here then we'll keep a running total and league position. So without further ado .. 15/10/13 Da Jints 1 v 1 Vixons [Cas 1 v 1] League Position:
1. Vixons (Amazons) - Evil Trev P1 D1 L0 (TD1 Cas For/Against 1/1) 2. Da Jints (Orcs) - Jammers P1 D1 L0 (TD1 Cas For/Against 1/1) 3. ... All welcome, the more the merrier. Any questions just ask me or Trev

Thanks for the great game on Tuesday James. Really enjoyed it.
Warning to all club members - "James is actually quite good at BB"

I was rusty but you played well. I didn't see that [2 x half-die pushes required*] crowd-surf coming when i was homing in for the TD ... [grin]
I'll use an Ogre team against any new/inexperienced players who want to learn the ropes and get an easy kill
Tier 1 teams (the best) in short leagues are Dwarfs, Undead, Woodies and Amazons
Tier 2 "the rest"
Tier 3 Gobbos, Halflings .. and the worst of all, Ogres/Snotlings
* Typical mad Evil-Trev ploy in retrospect. No self respecting Coach of AV7 teams would try it ie he needed two successful pushes and both were "2D i chose". Trev didn't so much as caught me napping as tucked up in bed/post Horlicks snoring [humph!]

wouldnt mind getting in on this though my orc team is still!!!!! unpainted lol Daz, even you can do 12 models in a few days! Or more likely get them to a reasonable level, and then tart them up as you go along, I for one don't care as long as they aren't just undercoated! Trev

Hi Daz,
Get them undercoated and dry-brushed (green) to get you going. Otherwise, you're welcome to borrow my plastic Orcs from the old box-set although its not the typical 4 x BO, 4 x Blitzers line up ...
Happy to take you on with the Ogres or smaller green-skin cousins, as the Gobbos are painted while the Ogres are still a project.

Moved this from the General thread so it now has its own area. Now to root out my old halflings... :-)

Moved this from the General thread so it now has its own area. Now to root out my old halflings... :-) Ha ha - Flings can be a nightmare for the unwary My last tourney, i won the Stunty Cup by beating the only other stunty player using Gobbos v Flings. The Fling player scored in Turn 1 (Throw Team Mate) and then proceeded to dismantle my team. I scored with TTM and somehow, i'm still not entirely sure how, i later capitalised on a dropped ball in traffic and sped off and scored again to win. I'm going to have to dig out the Ogres/Snots to paint

Last night saw the second game in this. Ian using Chaos against me with High Elves. The first half was the chance Ian needed to grind up the pitch with the ball. In the Elven turn 5 the ball went lose and bobbled away, only to be picked up in T6 by the minotaur, who continued to head for the line. In T7 the mino passed his Wild animal test and went in to score. The half ended with a 2 turn TD from the elves. 1-1 at halftime.
The second half saw the elves getting a bit bashed, though thankfully no long term injuries. The turns flew by with elves making themselves available whilst the thrower hid behind 2 linemen just outside his own end zone, then in T5 with beasties and the mino bearing down on him he decided to move up field and throw the ball to the awaiting group of 4 elves. To get the pass down from a Long Bomb to a Long Pass needed one GFI, and you guessed it. Even on a fine day he found somewhere to slip over and lose the ball, and whats worse - no rerolls left. A Chaos Warrior picked it up and wandered in for a 2-1 win. There was still some action in the last 2 turns, but the elves couldn't break through the cage to get to the ball carrying beastie.
Final score 2 - 1 to Chaos. Casualties 2 - 0 to Chaos.
Puts Ian at the top now with his win.

Thanks for the great game, Trev! I'm sure you were just being easy on me in order to entice me into the league! It was great fun and bought back some fond memories of a wayward youth...Cheers, Ian.

Hello
I introduced Jazz's Human team to BB recently at Polly to much amusement, we sort of only played the basics with starter teams but apparently it counts so Jazz won 2 - 0
