Not sure James. Personally, I saw it as a long running thing, but not necessarily a continuous thing. With the use of the average scores as the ranking, the league table could just be updated whenever anyone has a game, and playing more games than others wouldn't necessarily confer any advantage. I agree though. I enjoy SAGA, but I wouldn't want to be playing it all of the time! Ian. I don't rate SAGA to be honest. It's an ok game but, to me, it feels like something to do between other games. I'm only going to be coming up once a week so i'm not that bothered about having more than a couple of games of it

(although I wouldn't want to play it ALL the time either) It seems a lot of guys like FoG, but personally I wouldn't touch it with a barge pole... each to their own I guess?

I've quite enjoyed the games of Saga I've played but I do see it as a 'diversion'.. maybe because it's so different , even from many other skirmish level tabletop wargames.. I think a league/table run in this fairly casual form would generate just enough interest for me to get a few more games in, without going overkill.
As an aside - I assume the thinking is points for the player and game played, regardless of faction played? OR would one need to select a faction and stick with it .. perhaps even scoring points separately for different factions? (in other words if I played with Anglo Danish one night and Vikings another, would both glorious victories (;-)) give me points in the same pot?
God that was long-winded, hope it made sense!!

@nick - i'm sure that we're all looking for the same thing out of our games; fun with mates and a game that is interesting (and challenging, possibly)
I find SAGA too, what, samey. There are some obvious combinations on the battle-boards that are clearly game winners. I don't buy this "easy to play/difficult to master" malarkey.
Anyhow, that's just my £0.02. Since WAB faded (yes, yes i know ..)its opened up for me a whole world of gaming different eras and rules.
I'm happy to give SAGA another go here and there, just not week in-week out
Cheers,
James

A few of us have a couple of forces Ady. I'll be playing Anglo Danish, but I'll always bring my Vikings along too. (Very tempted to make up another Saga force at the moment)
