Team,
Ady, Quint, Mick and I have started to give this a go.
A simple, fun set of rules that you can use for just about anything/any period - we've themed ours on 1920/30s Gangsters/Cops/Not-so-Super Heroes ie The Shadow, Green Hornet/Kato, Rocketeer, Chinese Bandits, Explorers ...
Ady has planned a Night at the Museum League (force) so, as you can imagine, the scope is wide and various. I quite fancy doing a Victorian League of Extraordinary Gentlemen and Jack/Associated baddies at some point
There has recently been released Perilous Island which is a campaign supplement which includes Terrors which are single figure monsters. Think Kong etc
We think this has legs.
My Green Hornet League (units are called leagues) has 4 figures, my Mobsters between 6 - 10. 10 figures is probably a maximum
Let me know if you're interested.
Cheers
James

James - this sounds like good fun! I've been quite tempted by the 'In Her Majesty's Name' set (not the same period I know) and was going to ask if anyone fancied something along these lines. I'm guessing that 'Pulp Alley' is a ruleset?

I'm guessing that 'Pulp Alley' is a ruleset? Hi Mog It is a ruleset. Available for £6 as a pdf from the Pulp Alley site. And jolly good it is too You could use the rules for just about any period/thing you wanted: Sci-Fi, Super Hero, Victorian/Gothic etc etc I might look at IHMN too, or at least some of North Stars' figures as they do Tong, Anarchists, Bobbies, Victorian Villiains and the like. I'm not that struck with Steam Punk as a concept which is why i'm minded to keep to Pulp Alley but i'll keep an open mind Cheers James

I might be interested in this. I'll have a ponder! How big are the forces you might need?
Do you want me to create a board for this under "Leagues"? I know it might not be a league as such, but something that is played regularly or semi-regularly that you might want a space to discuss?
Ian.

Hi Ian - a thread under Pulp Alley might be useful, thanks. You could probably tweak a League and have a lot of fodder rather than the better Sidekick and Allies. Even so, you'd be hard pressed to get more than 13 figures in a League. Most Leagues will have about 6 - 8 figures. My Green Hornet League will have only 4 characters, the man himself, 2 x sidekicks and an Ally

Mog - the Pulp figures are really nice. I picked up mine from EBay and swappsies. You can't wrong with Copplestone though. James

Thread moved to it's own board, me old mucker! I'm inspired to possibly do a Call of Cthulhu or Lovecraftian "League" - or is this too dark for this setting?

More, and stranger, Leagues the better To try to avoid any confusion, the name given to a unit of figures in Pulp Alley is a League

I'm thinking TinTin.. ;-) Top Banana!! If you should buy the Copplestone pack with the non-Tin/Tin and Snowy i have a home for the Sam Spade figure if you don't need him (exchange for other Pulp figs or cash paid)

ooh.. good to know. I was a bit wary of buying the whole pack just for the non-TinTin, non-Snowy figures!

I am also going to be doing a fantasy dungeon search type thing and Big Daz and I have used the rules for a WW2 skirmish game, they are that usable
