Some ideas for the league

How about we have a chat about some ideas for the league?

I was thinking 650pt games with the following restrictions:

• You must pick at least three infantry sections of eight man or more and each section should have an LMG
• Only one vehicle of armour 8+ or more

Pick a force and play the missions in the book with 3pts for a win 1pt for a draw and 0pts for a loss

If you change your army to one from another book then you start a second entry in the league.

As I'm putting together a 500 point force, any chance we could lower the points total?!

I like the idea of small points total , as the Americans at 1000 points are just too good

would that be lists from the BA rulebook Scrivs, or including 'Armies of...' as well?

- a note then that in Armies of the Soviet Union, 'Rifle' squads can't take LMG's - unless I'm reading it wrong?

Just about every other squad can, just not your basic Rifle Squad! (or the free 12-man Rifle Squad)

So - 500 points or 650? I've gone ahead and ordered a 500 point Soviet force from Warlord - half way though painting them now..and I don't think it'd take much to get them to 650 (a tank?) Using the Soviet list in the main book btw - you should be able to take LMG with the free squad... just one SMG though.
